Full membership at Puttenham currently works out at a little over £22 per week with 5-day membership costing just over £18 per week
As a full or 5-day member, you can introduce guests at special rates, hold a CONGU recognised handicap, enter competitions (there are competitions most Saturdays and Sundays and at least four more per month during the week), receive regular newsletters, represent the Club in matches, get free weekday access to a number of other courses within an hour’s drive of Puttenham, attend the popular social events held throughout the year (friends and family are also welcome), receive a member’s discount on food and drink, have full access to the course, practice and club house facilities and, of course, meet many like-minded people in an informal and sociable atmosphere.
Unlike proprietary Clubs, any surplus income generated during the year is reinvested into the Club to improve and maintain the facilities.
Much of the play at Puttenham is arranged through a network of roll up systems, which makes fixing a game very easy and is a great way for new members to become integrated into the Club very quickly. With only 550 playing members, the course is not over-used and is rarely unduly busy, particularly during the week.
If you don't feel you can justify the time or cost of full golf club membership but would still like to enjoy the benefits of being a club member, Puttenham Golf Club’s LPR membership may be the answer for you. Starting at only £225 for a year's subscription, you then pay a member’s guest green fee each time you play and can introduce guests at the same, low rate. All of Puttenham’s membership categories are good value for money with special prices for juniors and reduced fees for those up to the age of 29. Under 16's can also join Puttenham's Academy Membership which offers unlimited access to our 3-Hole Academy Course and practice facilities together with free ball tokens and access to the Club's PGA Professionals. A great way for youngsters to learn the game of golf.

Our subscription year runs from 1st April to 31st March and payment is due at the beginning of each year, either in one lump sum or spread quarterly or ten monthly via a direct debit facility. For those joining midway through the year, the subscription portion of the fees is charged on a pro rata basis.

Junior Academy Membership is open to those aged up to 16 years. The subscription for 2012 is £50 which gives unlimited access to our 3-Hole Academy Course, practice facilities and Clubhouse. There is no entrance fee for Junior Academy Membership and the EGU fee is not applicable.

LPR Gold or Silver Membership
LPR Gold Membership allows you to use the course seven days a week, whereas LPR Silver members can only play after 12:00 noon at weekends. The subscription year for both LPR categories is 1st April to 31st March. Details as follows:

Puttenham Village Club (for parishioners of Puttenham and Wanborough)
The Village Club was formally established by the main Club Committee in October 1920. This finally resolved the long standing wish of the Countess Visconti to provide a golf course for the local people in and around the village, and solved rights of way issues which had dogged the Club. Membership was restricted to the parishioners of Puttenham and Wanborough, as is the case today. The Village Club has an allocation of 30 members (male or female) and five juniors.
Village Club members can join as five or seven day members with a special discount but have no voting rights in the main Club AGM or EGM. The Club has its own Committee and Accounts. Social Membership
For anyone locally who just wants to hit a few golf balls and have a quick bite to eat during their lunch break, Puttenham's social membership offers unlimited access to the Academy Course, practice range and Clubhouse facilities for only £54 plus VAT per year.
The Joining Process
You don’t have to know a member to apply for membership of Puttenham Golf Club and if you would like to play the course before making up your mind, we can arrange this at a discounted green fee rate, the cost of which will be deducted from your fees if you join. The following gives you an idea of the simple process involved in joining Puttenham, which can be completed within approximately two weeks:
• Complete and return application form to the Club
• Application posted on the Club’s noticeboard for 10 days
• Invited to attend an informal interview with a representative from the Membership Committee (this may involve playing a few holes)
• If space available and assuming no objections, membership offered
